I love the taste of water, but I realize not everyone does. You can easily tell by walking down the aisle of the grocery store where there are flavored waters or water enhancers galore. The down side is that most of them are loaded with sugar and artificial ingredients that are less than healthy. Try this yummy recipe instead.
Tip: Frozen fruit works great if fresh isn’t available or is too expensive. Oh and try to buy organic when possible to avoid any nasty pesticides or chemicals. Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 Water Infusion Pitcher or Glass Pitcher
½ large naval orange slices with peel on
9 large chunks of fresh pineapple
9 small strawberries with stems removed
Filtered or Natural Spring Water
Method
If you have an infusion pitcher, layer the fruit slices inside the infusion chamber and make sure to alternate the fruit. Next, fill the pitcher with water (do not use tap water).
If you do not have an infusion pitcher, it’s okay to toss the fruit in a glass pitcher and fill with water.
Refrigerate for several hours before serving – you can refill pitcher with water for up to two days. Once the strawberries start to lose their color then go ahead and make a fresh batch.
Feel free to explore with your favorite fruits and you can even “Boost-It” by adding fresh herbs like mint into the mix for an added flavor burst.
